ALBANY, NY– This Valentine’s Day, revisit the toys and games of your childhood with a guided tour of Kid Stuff at the Albany Institute of History & Art, then proceed across the street to the University Club for drinks, games and dinner!

AIHA TO KICK OFF ST. PETER’S CHURCH LECTURE SERIES FEBRUARY 12

ALBANY, NY– The Albany Institute of History & Art will be presenting the first of a three lecture series “300 Years, One Congregation”, about St. Peter’s Church on Sunday, February 12 at 2 PM. In this first lecture “In One City of Two Cultures, Ministering to Three Nations” the history, purpose, and influence of St. Peter’s Church in Albany will be explored by a panel of experts, including the Reverend Paul Hartt, Rector, Ms. E. Connie Powell, Church Archivist and Mr. Chris Grill, Mentor at Empire State College. This event is FREE with museum admission.

AIHA TO HOST DR. ERIC RUIJSSENAARS “THE LIVES OF ABRAHAM STAATS” LECTURE ON JANUARY 29

ALBANY, NY– On Sunday, January 29 at 2 PM the Albany Institute of History & Art will welcome Dr. Eric Ruijssenaars to tell the enthralling life story of Abraham Staats, a Dutch Founding Father of Albany. Dr. Ruijssenaars is a Senior Scholar in Residence at the New Netherland Institute, and possesses his own Bureau of Historical Research, named Dutch Archives (www.dutcharchives.com). The event will be FREE with museum admission.

ALBANY, NY– The Albany Institute of History & Art is will present a lecture on the famous Dutch painter and etcher Rembrandt van Rijn entitled “Rembrandt and the Golden Age”, on Sunday, January 22 at 2 PM. The event is FREE with museum admission.
