9:00am–7:00pm   Join us for a joint conference with the Albany Institute of History & Art and the New York State Library.  This conference illuminates and expands upon themes explored in two exciting, new exhibitions at the Institute, Delights of the Senses: Seventeenth-Century Dutch Art and Life, Featuring Paintings from The Leiden Collection, and People of the Waters that are Never Still: A Celebration of Mohican Art and Culture. Lunch at the New York State Museum and admission to the Albany Institute of History & Art to see the exhibition are included in the registration price.  Please note that we will start the day at the Huxley Theater in the New York State Museum.  In the afternoon, we will move to the Albany Institute to see the exhibitions and enjoy a reception.

12:00pm–4:00pm Family Free Day Sunday, September 22 Noon- 4:00 PM   Join us for a family fun-free day with activities inspired by the exhibition Enchanting Threads: The Art of Salley Mavor, the Utica Zoo Mobile will be doing an interactive, formal presentation program with an educator who will be introducing a variety of live animals related to New York State, and Storytelling with Barry Marshall and Jeri Burns the stories will be inspired from tales and folklore from all over the world.   Funding for Free Family Days is provided by M&T Bank, CDPHP, and the J.M. McDonald Foundation.  

8 Week Fall Yoga Series Albany Institute of History & Art Mondays at Noon beginning September 9- October 2 Join us for an 8-week beginner’s series of yoga with instructor Adina Mincher. This series will be perfect for the beginner student who needs slow-paced direction and a great level of detail so they can become familiar with basic yoga poses and the use of the breath. Mondays at noon, weather permitting, on the lawn outside or in the Key if the weather is bad. Free to AIHA members and $10 for non-members, $56 if you sign up for all 8 classes. all proceeds go to the museum. Must bring your mat and water     RSVP-fahym@albanyinstitute.org
